An hour wait at the airport for a ten minute taxi ride (love you Magda! Lol!), taking the top off my toe from tripping on the rubble on a broken pavement, a two day sand storm, a lady in a hijab with a shy smile, an iPad and using our security guy as an interpreter approaching us by our pool enquiring about Glen’s age, education, job title, company he worked for, size of the company, size of our apartment …..all but taking his inside leg measurements for the national census, then briefly taking my name and might just as well have asked me my choice of washing powder the interest she showed in me in comparison lol! … an Egyptian man appearing at the door of our apartment with a bucket of white liquid saying “medicine” and pointing to our bathroom before putting the mysterious liquid down our loo and every bathroom orifice without so much as a by-your-leave … and a huge newly laid pipe having appeared around town, in front of our ‘complex’ entrance and randomly along every pavement in a 1 mile radius ……you gotta love Egypt.
Welcome back! I so wish you could come to Dahab! ❤
😂😂x
Hi to you both,we have just arrived in UK for our UK visit so will not see you walking around Bristol this time. Weather terrible should have gone back to WSV! Have a great time hope the ‘flowers’ I planted are all OK!
Hi Lynda, that’s a shame 🙂 enjoy the cool! British weather 😉 and yes you should have been here at the same time as us, we are long overdue for a catch up x Magda said about how you both planted flowers but I am not sure which ones are yours, hopefully the ones that are flourishing…which presumably Magda is watering because the bushes and plants at the front by our pool are noticeably sad and we have not seen anyone watering them like we usually do. Something else they have cut back on maybe? 🙁 x
Have a fabulous holiday, enjoy the sunshine! ☀️xx
You always have a brilliant sense of humour Mandy. Hope you all have a fabulous time xx
Welcome mandy. Hope to catch you soon!!! 🙂
Hi, let us know when you are free for a beer….or two!
Nice pipe they may tile over it so it looks in keeping with the area.
Have you seen where that pipe joins the new development at the beach? They laid it across the road and added tarmac round it to create a speed hump, then squashed the pipe to make it fit under the concrete barriers. 😀
Hahahaha i know, it made me giggle.
Well Glen spoke to ‘Mr Matters’ and thankfully it’s not permanent but only being used to take the water away from the hole (because the water table level is high) as they work their way down the main road digging up and laying other pipes..they’ve not gone far in the six months since we saw them in October but I am sure that is because they are working slowly to make a perfect job of it lol! 😉 the pipe runs out in to the sea by the old Sheraton Hotel apparently… and yes the benefit is all of the new huge speed bumps that have appeared across the roads, slowing the traffic down lol! X
You now what the pipe hold…….don’t you…….
😂 what the hell with the pipe!
