Glen: Saturday 11th May……
There I was walking back to our apartment, after buying some more flat bread, and thinking surely this heat wave couldn’t go on for much longer, when a car slowed down beside me. The nice Egyptian man in the car said “hello” and offered me his hand, I declined his hand but asked him what he wanted. He patted the empty seat next to him and invited me to get in. Well I was always told by my Mum never to go with strangers and I think this qualified as one of those situations when I should heed her advice.
I walked on a little and the car slowly followed me and again the nice Egyptian man started to strike up a conversation with me, this time he was much more friendly and said “would you like a good f**k”, well who wouldn’t I thought! I was a little unsure, did he mean with him or did he have other plans? Anyway I declined and said no thank you, or words to that effect! and walked on.
I always thought the Egyptians were friendly but this was a step too far!
