LOST but not FOUND

Mandy: Monday 27th May

After taking an age to find our lovely, seemingly rare, large WHITE bowl (instead of the garish red, blue or pink ones) to do our hand washing in, we’ve had it taken from us. (sad face)

It has been VERY windy here this week so we tend to weigh down the clothes airer etc on the balcony but had no idea that leaving our bowl out for an hour would be a problem.

Being on the third floor I have to believe that it wasn’t an opportunist theft by someone passing by! The pigeons, that occasionally gather and swoop en masse, surely wouldn’t be strong enough to fly away with my bowl, even if they wanted to. No, I have concluded that it has obviously blown away! (concerned look)

It was only £3 but I am gutted. One because it was not easy to find and two because I hate waste. I have asked every Egyptian pool guy, security worker and the manager etc on site but they have not seen it! Well they say they haven’t. (suspicious look) I walked around last night thinking I would surely find it. I thought it could be being used to mix their cement (they are currently fitting a new Shop in the front of our complex). I thought that it might have landed in the flower beds….nope! I have just fb’d Sharon to ask her to keep an eye out for it when she is diving this week in case it is bobbing out to sea…..Glen has just suggested we might see it on the news….. A family of Syrian refugees having used it as a Conical boat to escape…….. I don’t think he is taking my loss seriously! (Sigh)
