Wat Arun, Bangkok

Glen: 11th October 2014

Well so far during our first week in Thailand and our stay in Bangkok we’ve been very lucky with the weather, rain wise. But on our visit to Wat Arun, the famous Buddhist temple in The Yai district of Bangkok, we were not so lucky. Just as we arrived the heavens opened and the rain fell, and fell and fell. Undaunted we slipped on our tried, tested and sexy (not) plastic macs and set about exploring and climbing.

Because of the rain there are few pictures here, well few of much quality, but enough to show you what it was like.

I got a little over excited once the rain stopped and I could play ball with my rain mac instead of wearing it!
As night fell the storm passed and we were able to enjoy the floodlit Wat Arun in the dry
